Ray Duerer

AIA, LEED AP, Architect, President

Ray Duerer is an Owner and serves as President, roles he has held since 2008. He began working at CDA Architects in 1995 after his graduation from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. He received his Architectural license in 2001 and his LEED Accredited Professional certification in 2009.

Ray has worked on projects from 1500 SF interior build-outs to 150 Acre Retail Centers with over 1 Million SF of buildings, and including a very large number of Grocery Store Projects. Notable Projects that Ray has completed include Valley Ranch Town Center, Brazos Town Center Phases 1 and 2, New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside, and Cypress Station including a METRO Parking structure, bus platform, and multi-story retail buildings that obtained LEED Certification. While there is an emphasis on Retail, Grocery, and Restaurants, Ray has also led Industrial Projects, Office Projects, Private Schools, and Medical/Dental/Veterinary Projects. Ray's pragmatic approach to Architectural Solutions offers clients a great value from his experiences while keeping their budget in mind.

A native Houstonian and proud Texan, Ray serves in an Engineering Unit of the Texas State Guard. He has also been a Leader in the Boy Scouts of America program for more than 15 years in his home community and serving all of the Greater Houston area.

Tamim El Haje

AIA, Architect, Executive Vice President

Tamim El Haje is an owner and serves as Executive Vice President, roles he has held since 2008. He joined CDA Architects in 2000 after earning his Master’s of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University. He became a registered Architect in the state of Texas in 2006.

Tamim has also obtained Architectural registration in other states including Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and Virginia.

Tamim’s experiences include Retail, Office, Restaurant, and Industrial facilities, and cover large geographic regions and create a growing list of developments across the states. Among the projects of note are Olive Branch Commons in Olive Branch, MS, Florence Shopping Center in Florence, SC, Northline Commons in Houston, TX, the Center at Pearland Parkway in Pearland, TX and the Crossing at Katy Fulshear in Fort Bend County, TX. Tamim’s approach to Architecture is based on a belief that every project, whether it is a small tenant finish-out or a large power center, should receive the proper amount of attention to detail.

Tamim has a passion for aviation and aviation related structures. As a commercial pilot, he likes to travel and explore new destinations. His knowledge of Arabic, Czech and English languages aids in his travel endeavors.

Stuart Allison

AIA, Architect, Vice President

Stuart Allison is an Owner and serves as Vice President. He joined CDA Architects in 2003 after completing his Undergraduate and Master’s degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. He received his Architectural license in 2009 and became a partner at CDA Architects in 2015. Stuart’s expertise includes an emphasis in design and graphic visualization.

Stuart’s experience includes projects such as the Baytown Shopping Center located at Garth Rd and Hunt Rd with over 375,000 square feet of buildings on 45 acres built in three phases over a 5 years period. He also was lead Architect on the Pappadeaux restaurant in the George R. Brown Convention Center delivered on time for Houston’s hosting of the 2017 Super Bowl, and most recently the high end retail development Lakewood Crossing where his attention to detail and aesthetic created a beautiful new addition to The Woodlands shopping experience.

While at Texas A&M, Stuart received the Edna Blevins Award and a Certificate in Health Systems & Design. When he is not working in Architecture for his clients, Stuart spends his time fellowshipping with his Second Baptist Cypress family, camping with the family, coaching his kids sports teams, or Cub Scouting.
